  2. This lottery is being promoted by Countess Mountbatten Hospice Promotions Limited (CMHP) on behalf of Mountbatten Hampshire.

  3. For the purpose of the Gambling Act 2005, this lottery is defined as a ‘Society Lottery’.

  4. This lottery is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by The Gambling Commission www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk

  5. To enter the lottery, you must be a UK resident aged 18 or over.

  6. The guaranteed 1st prize will be £1,000, followed by a 2nd prize of £100, 5 x 3rd prizes of £10 and 23 x 4th prizes of £5

  7. Our Rollover Prize will start at £100, but each week that the Rollover Prize is not won, it will increase by £100 - and if it reaches £5,000, then one lucky player will be guaranteed to win it that week

  8. All tickets shall be priced at £1.00.

  9. All lottery entry sales are final and no refunds shall be made at any time. All entrants acknowledge that their payment of £1.00 per ticket to enter the lottery does not guarantee that they will win any prize.

  10. The draw for the prizes will be made at StarVale Management & Technologies Ltd’s premises each week. You do not need to be present at the draw to win the lottery.

  11. If a cash prize is awarded, this will be made by cheque in the name of the entrant only.

  12. CMHP reserves the right in exceptional and unforeseen circumstances to substitute any of the non cash prizes acquired for the lottery for a similar prize at their absolute discretion.

  13. Full payment for each ticket must be received either in the form of cash or cleared funds before the ticket can be entered into the draw. Only tickets for which full payment has been received are eligible to win the prize.

  14. The winners of the lottery prizes will be notified by letter.

  15. Any prizes that are not claimed within 6 months of the date of the draw will be donated to Mountbatten Hampshire.

  16. All entrants are solely responsible for providing the Charity with accurate and up-to-date contact details and the Charity will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact entrants due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the entrant has provided. If an entrant changes their contact details, they will be solely responsible for notifying the Charity of the change.

  17. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to take part in promotional activity and the Charity reserves the right to use the name and address of the winner, their photograph and audio and/or visual recordings of them in any publicity unless prior notification has been received.

  18. Each game number is unique. A randomly selected game number will be issued with the confirmation of entry. Any member may subsequently request an alternative game number if they wish at any time and this will be issued providing that it has not already been allocated to an existing member.

  19. Lottery membership can be cancelled at any time by notifying the Charity in writing, by phone or e-mail. Members paying by standing order must also cancel their subscription with their bank. Any excess pence that don’t play in the draw will be gratefully accepted as a donation by Mountbatten.

  20. The Charity shall not be liable to the member for any loss or damage suffered or arising from:

    • any delays or failures in the postal service or other delivery methods used by the Charity or the member from time to time.

    • any refusal by the Charity to accept registration of an individual as a member or the cancellation of a member.

    • any failure to enter a chance into the draw.

    • any event beyond the reasonable control of the Charity.

  21. Nothing within these terms and conditions shall create or should be construed as creating any form of contract between any entrant and the Charity.

  22. Any complaints relating to the lottery should be sent in writing to the Charity giving full details of the complaint and supporting documentation. A copy of our complaints procedure is available on request and can also be found on our website

  24. Any member has the right to access the information held about them. To obtain this information, please contact the Charity in writing.

  25. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, the decision of the Charity shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

  26. The Charity reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If the Charity does this, it will publish the amended rules.

  27. The Charity reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these rules.

  28. The Responsible People for the lottery are Jean Joshua and Rebecca Jane McGregor

  29. This lottery is a form of gambling. Participants are encouraged to gamble sensibly. If you need to talk to someone about problem gambling, contact the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 or visit www.begambleaware.org
